Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Pantry Bliss Pty Ltd · ACN 688 687 318 · Last updated

This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy applies to consumers in Washington State, Nevada and other US states with consumer health data laws. It explains how Pantry Bliss Pty Ltd ACN 688 687 318 (“we”, “us” or “our”) handles consumer health data: personal information that identifies, or could reasonably be linked to, your physical health. It forms part of our Privacy Policy, which explains our wider privacy practices.

The consumer health data we collect

The only consumer health data we collect is the food rules you choose to add in the Pantry Bliss app for yourself or people in your household:

  • allergies and intolerances;
  • dietary requirements, such as gluten-free, low-FODMAP or diabetic-friendly; and
  • the age group of each person (adult, teen, child or toddler), where it is linked to their food rules.

We may also be able to infer health information from the recipes you create or save and the foods you avoid.

Where we collect it from

  • directly from you, when you add food rules in the app; and
  • from members of your household, who may add a profile for you.

Why we collect and use it

We collect and use your food rules only to:

  • leave out ingredients that people eating are allergic to, and respect their diets and dislikes;
  • create and suggest recipes that suit your household, including in search, in the app and in notifications we send you. In marketing emails, we only use them to leave out recipes that aren’t safe for you, never to choose what we promote; and
  • keep the app secure and working properly.

We collect consumer health data only with your consent, which we ask for in the app before you first add food rules.

Who we share it with

We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes.

We disclose consumer health data only to:

  • members of your household, who can see the food rules in your household’s profiles; and
  • our processors, who process it on our behalf and under our instructions to provide the app: our AI service providers, which use your food rules to create recipes, and our hosting provider, which stores our databases.

We do not have affiliates that receive consumer health data.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data;
  • access your consumer health data, and get a list of the third parties and affiliates we have shared it with and their contact details;
  • withdraw your consent to our collection and sharing of your consumer health data; and
  • have your consumer health data deleted, including by our processors.

You can delete or change food rules at any time in the app, which also withdraws your consent for those rules. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello [at] pantrybliss.com. We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why, and we may extend the period by up to a further 45 days where reasonably necessary.

If we decline your request, we will explain why. You can appeal our decision by replying to our response with “Appeal” in the subject line. We will respond to your appeal within 45 days and tell you what we decided and why. If your appeal is denied, you can contact the Attorney General of your state, such as the Washington State Attorney General.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If we make a material change, we will tell you in the app or by email, and we will ask for your consent again where the law requires.
