Pantry Bliss for AI assistants

Your pantry, in the AI you already use.

Connect ChatGPT or Claude to Pantry Bliss and ask it what to cook, have it plan the week or tell it what you bought. It answers from your real pantry, plan and food rules, and everything it does shows up in the app for everyone at home.

Included with Household. Works with Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants.

An example chat: someone asks their assistant to plan dinners Monday to Thursday and add what’s missing to the list. Pantry Bliss checks the pantry, the plan and who’s eating, plans four dinners and adds six items to the shared shopping list.

What you can ask

Ask it anything about dinner

Talk to it like a friend who knows your kitchen. It reads what it needs, and asks before it changes anything.

  • “What’s about to go off, and what can I make with it tonight?”

Reads your pantry, soonest to expire first, keeps to everyone’s allergies and suggests your own recipes that use it up.

  • “Plan dinners Monday to Thursday and put what I’m missing on the list.”

Fills the empty nights in your planner, then adds only what you don’t already have to the shared shopping list.

  • “I just bought milk, eggs and two lemons.”

Adds them to the pantry with use-by dates. Or share a photo of the receipt and let your assistant read it.

  • “Is Friday’s lasagne safe for everyone at home?”

Checks the recipe against every allergy, diet and never-include rule in your household, and says what clashes.

  • “Save this recipe to my Pantry Bliss cookbook.”

Imports a recipe from a web page, just like importing it in the app, ready to plan and cook.

  • “I’m at the shops. What’s left on the list?”

Reads the list by aisle and ticks things off as you go. Bought items can go straight into the pantry.

  2. 2 Sign in and choose your household Sign in the way you do in the app, pick the household, and decide whether it may make changes.
  3. 3 Start asking Try “Plan my week” or “Use up what’s expiring”, or just ask in your own words.
Step-by-step help

You’re in charge

  • One household at a time Each connection only sees the household you chose. Switching households in the app doesn’t move it.
  • Changes are your call It only reads, unless you let it make changes. Your assistant asks before it removes anything.
  • See what it did Settings › Privacy › Connected assistants shows who connected what and its recent activity.
  • Nothing beyond the kitchen It can’t invite people, share recipes publicly, see billing or change your account.

Questions, answered

Which assistants work with Pantry Bliss?
Claude and ChatGPT, on plans that let you add a custom connector. Other assistants that can connect to an MCP server by its address can work too.
Does it work with Gemini, Grok or Meta’s assistant?
Not everywhere yet. Gemini’s custom apps are only in the US for now, and Meta’s assistant, Muse, only lets people in the US and Canada add custom connectors. Grok supports connectors, but we haven’t finished testing it yet. We’ll list each one here as it works for everyone.
Do I still need the app?
Yes. You sign up and start your plan in the Pantry Bliss app on iPhone or iPad, and that’s where your household shops and cooks. Your assistant is another way into the same kitchen.
What does my assistant see?
The pantry, meal plan, shopping list, recipes and collections of the one household you connect, and the names, allergies, diets and food rules of the people in it. What it reads goes to the company that runs the assistant, under their privacy policy.
Does it use my AI allowances?
Reading and updating your kitchen doesn’t. Asking for new Pantry Bliss recipe ideas or Plan my week uses the same daily allowances as the app.
How do I disconnect it?
In the app, go to Settings › Privacy › Connected assistants and tap Disconnect. It stops straight away. Changing your password or leaving the household disconnects it too.
