Give items a use-by date and Pantry Bliss shows what needs eating first, so less ends up in the bin.
Add or change a date
- In Kitchen, choose Pantry and tap an item.
- Turn on Use-by date and pick the date.
- Tap Save.
Receipt and shelf scans often suggest a date for fresh food, and you can change it any time.
What needs using first
The pantry groups food by Use first: Past its best, Use soon (within 3 days), Fresh and No date. Tap Cook these beside Past its best or Use soon for recipe ideas built around them. You can switch to grouping by category from View Options.
Use it up on Today shows the same food, with Ideas using these.
Morning reminder
If Food about to expire is on in Settings under Notifications, you'll get a morning notification listing what needs using.
