Your list lives in Kitchen under Shopping. Type into Add an item at the bottom to add things, and they're sorted into supermarket aisles.
While you shop
Tap an item to tick it. Ticked items move to In the trolley. For bigger buttons, tap Start shopping. The screen stays on, and the Finish button at the bottom puts everything you ticked into your pantry.

Under In the trolley, tap Put in Pantry to add them to your pantry, or Clear to take them off the list without adding them.
More options
Tap ··· to sort by Supermarket Aisles or A–Z, show items as a List or Tiles, Share List, or Clear List… to empty it for everyone. Swipe left on an item to Edit or Delete it.
More than one list
Tap the list's name at the top to switch lists, or choose New List, Rename or Delete (you can delete a list when you have more than one).
No signal in the shop? Ticks and new items are saved on your phone and sent when you're back online.
